2022 Schedule for Teachers and Students

 

March 1

Registration of projects is due. All registrations must be entered and registration fees sent in by March 1.

March 20-26

Judges will review projects online. Judges will be able to view student videos, and ask questions through makeprojects.com.

March 25-26

    1. Senior finalists must be available the evening of either March 29th (tentative) for final round judging. If you’re selected as a finalist, we will notify you and schedule a time for your Zoom presentation, between 6:30 and 7:30pm.
    2. FINAL JUDGING PANEL will meet via Zoom to review and determine top of fair projects.

Schedule for Judges

March 14 -19: Judge Orientation.

Judges will receive project assignments, abstracts and links to project presentations. Review judging documents sent online and preview assigned projects.

March 20 – 26: Judging of All Projects

Judges will review each project. If the project is available through makeprojects.com, judges may use the comment feature to ask questions. If the student submitted only a video, judges can send their list of questions to admin@gnsef.org to be forwarded to the student (We expect there will be only a small number that don’t use makeprojects.com)

Judges will send their project scores to their category chair by email.

March 25: Final Judging

CATEGORY CHAIRS serve as Final judges (If you choose not to volunteer as a finalist judge, an alternate must be selected from your team.)

The top Senior projects will present to the final judging panel using Zoom Conference* (March 29 -tentative date)

FINAL JUDGING PANEL meets to review and determine top five Junior projects and to two Senior projects using Zoom Conference* March 30 (tentative date).

* The Fair Director will be responsible for scheduling all Zoom meetings.
